Pick up a mountain bike, e-bike, or city bike at the Appia Antica Park information office, then follow the ancient road past catacombs, tombs, villas, and aqueducts. This is a self-guided day out, with route advice from the staff and time to stop wherever you like.

Start at Via Appia Antica 175 and choose an e-bike or standard bicycle for a self-guided ride through Rome’s Appian Way Regional Park. You receive a helmet, lock, pump, baby seat, and route suggestions for reaching ruins, catacombs, and the Park of the Aqueducts.

Rent a bicycle from EcoBike near Via Appia Antica and set your own route through Rome’s Appia Antica Regional Park. You’ll receive a bike, helmet, lock, map, and local directions, with access to the road, ruins, Villa of Maxentius, Capo di Bove baths, and the Museum of the Walls.
